HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!
We would like to wish our sons and son-in-laws (who we count as sons) a great Father's Day. We are proud of the fathers and husbands that you have become. Every parent hopes/wishes that their children become better than themselves !! You are all so patient and helpful to your families !! We are also grateful for the example that has been set by our parents. Their bedrock faith and patience with us helped us to understand the meaning of love and understand the kind of love that our Heavenly Father has for each one of His children. He doesn't become discouraged or give up on us when we stumble--just patiently and loving waits for us . Neither does He force us to come to Him...we must do that on our own free will !!
And now, in honor of Elder Paxman (he doesn't know that I am posting this) I am going to show you a couple of pictures of the men's number in the program that have a good shot of him in "fine form" Enjoy !!
Now I'll show you a picture we took last night of the sunset. It was spectacular. We had just finished watching the feeding of the 3 baby oxen calves that were brought in last week. Elder Paxman had to fix fence for them and he helped set up a tarp on the roof of the barn because it leaks pretty bad and they are very young. One was only 4 hours old and hadn't even stood up yet. They take them away from their moms quickly so that they attach to humans and get trained to leading easily. They are pretty cute! They are a week and a couple of days old now. They get fed from a bottle 3 times daily and are given a special supplement. The oxen in the background of the sunset picture are yearlings.
We have been watching the lightning bugs in the evening outside of our kitchen window. We have a little "field" out there and they dance around and have a real party. And....there are not just yellow lightning bugs but there are green and orange ones, as well. Another missionary swears that there are blue ones, as well ,but I haven't seen that yet .
We love what we are doing and where we are at !! Our hope is that we can be an instrument in the hands of the Lord for whatever purpose he has in mind for us.
