Sunday, April 28, 2019 Where has April gone ?    The busier the days...the faster the time flies by it seems ! AND it has been another busy week.  The pressure was on to get the Big 10 ready for all the single sisters so Elder Paxman and some Young Single Sisters were helping for the first three days (Mon. Tues. Wed.) and we accomplished that goal. Elder Paxman moved furniture with the YSS helping and then in the afternoon, they would go and help him get some work done on his picnic tables.   These are the finished product.  Jim has completed  5 tables with 19 left to go...woohoo !! Sis. Green and Sis. Taylor loved working with the drills...haha Sis. Green and Sis. Taylor were really a big help to me , as well. Sis. Faimolo and Sis. Sunday April 21, 2019 Happy Easter !!  We are so blessed to be able to celebrate this pivotal , most historic event in all of our lives.   I have such love and appreciation to our Heavenly Father for providing a plan that we can access in order to return to His presence as an eternal family AND for our Saviour for sacrificing His life so that plan could be implemented in our lives.  Because of His birth and resurrection we, too, can overcome death (both physical and spiritual) by our daily repentance and sincere efforts to better ourselves.   This week has been a continuation of getting things ready for the last set of missionaries which will arrive next week.  Jim is busy constructing 24 new picnic tables that have metal frames as well as repairing the existing 27 picnic tables which are placed around Nauvoo.  He is using a very hard wood ( of the osage orange tree family) which will not rot.  AND spring is definitely here !  T...

Saturday, April 13, 2019 Crazy busy, fun two weeks !!   We have received 25 new senior couples since the end of March and that translates into that many houses that have had to be readied for them.....and that is not counting the young single sisters that I told you about before !  We loved General Conference last weekend !   The messages were so uplifting and yet totally down to earth and pertinent. My testimony was strengthened.  I hope that you all enjoyed it like we did.  We watched the sessions in the theater of the Visitors Center.  One of my favorite talks was given by Becky Craven--2nd councillor in the YW.  She talked about being "careful" or "casual" in keeping the commandments as well as our covenants.  It really made me think and evaluate myself.  She also said: " Although we may not be perfect, we can be worthy"   .  Each speaker issued an invitation to better ourselves and many gave promises to go...
