Where has April gone ? The busier the days...the faster the time flies by it seems ! AND it has been another busy week. The pressure was on to get the Big 10 ready for all the single sisters so Elder Paxman and some Young Single Sisters were helping for the first three days (Mon. Tues. Wed.) and we accomplished that goal. Elder Paxman moved furniture with the YSS helping and then in the afternoon, they would go and help him get some work done on his picnic tables.
These are the finished product. Jim has completed 5 tables with 19 left to go...woohoo !!
Sis. Green and Sis. Taylor loved working with the drills...haha
Sis. Green and Sis. Taylor were really a big help to me , as well.
Sis. Faimolo and Sis. Hyatt
We missed getting a picture with Sis. Anderson and Sis. Curtis. They moved HEAVY furniture with Jim and had such a positive , happy attitude. We have loved working with all of them. They have truly made a difference in our workload.
We, also, had a very inspiring mission training session on Wed. Pres. Lusvardi showed a video clip of Elder Jeffrey R. Holland speaking to the missionaries in the MTC in Jan. 2008. He later gave some of this in his talk in April Gen. Conference 2008 and it was something that made us think about our commitment to our Savior and about enduring to the end. I would recommend it to you all.
We are also busy in the evenings getting ready to do Sunset by the Mississippi. We have learned the music and are now learning the choreography to go with it. Not Jim's favorite part!! but he is a really good sport about it. I, on the other hand, find it to be energizing and fun!
Have a great week.....I will be busy preparing for the incoming Young Performing Missionaries who arrive on Wed. We have 3 more houses to get ready for them. That's do-able (one per day) IF they don't have problems. So far, we have run into a few problems that have had to be addressed....one being a dead bat on the stairs!! I go into that one tomorrow and hopefully that problem has been rectified. Jim found the bat when he had to go and set up the extra bunkbeds. He threw it out and reported it.....here's hoping there are not any more!! Oh the joys!!
We love you all and think of you daily. Goodbye for now !
