Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018 Remembrance Day I am so grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy in Canada (and I might add, the United States) that come at great cost. We have worn our poppies everywhere for the last week and have had many comments and questions about them. Apparently, they used to be common here as well as at home but have not been in the last several years. Many wanted to know where we got them and if they could get them. I think that I could have given away lots of them if I had them....too bad. I'll probably leave them for someone else to use next year but it will have to be someone who will be here. We picked up Megan & Christopher from Cedar Rapids on Friday and they have been here for the weekend. We have so enjoyed having them here and showing them around. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018 Not much to report this week. We worked hard and helped to get things done around here. Jim worked at the "Holiday Condos" which is an older motel that the Church owns but uses as a resident building for the Pagaent participants . They have decided to totally renovate them and make them into apartments for the missionaries. They will be very nice when done but there really is alot of work to do and they (FM) are hoping to get them done by Dec. but time will tell.... Sometimes I think that they are alittle unrealistic in their timelines. Jim found out that he can't work there on the demolition because it stresses his back too much and besides, he still has alot of fencing to get done so he approached his "boss"(Marcus Allen) and told him that.
