Not much to report this week.  We worked hard and helped to get things done around here.  Jim worked at the "Holiday Condos"  which is an older motel that the Church owns but uses as a resident building for the Pagaent participants .  They have decided to totally renovate them and make them into apartments for the missionaries.  They will be very nice when done but there really is alot of work to do and they (FM) are hoping to get them done by Dec. but time will tell....  Sometimes I think that they are alittle unrealistic in their timelines.  Jim found out that he can't work there on the demolition because it stresses his back too much and besides, he still has alot of fencing to get done so he approached his "boss"(Marcus Allen) and told him that.   He was very good about it.  That is something that we are grateful for....they are very supportive when you tell them your limitations.  They are younger and sometimes forget that we are older and slower....haha!   I worked on lots of windows and such....always something to paint !!  It's the prep work that I get tired of !! Doesn't hurt me at all though !!

We took the opportunity to go to the St. Louis, Missouri temple yesterday with several other couples.  We were able to take a mission van and we filled it with 12 people.  It is a 3.5 hour drive (one way). We did a session at noon, had dinner at a restuarant, and came home.  It was a 12 hour day!  It is the closest temple to Nauvoo and it was so great to be able to go since the Nauvoo temple is closed until the middle of December.

This is in front of the temple.  It is a very pretty temple.  It was raining outside but not too cold.

The driveway leading up to the temple was lined with trees  on both sides and they were absolutely gorgeous!!  The drive through Missouri was beautiful....hills, and trees of all colors !  We live in a beautiful world !

In the background, you can see the mission van and some of our group walking around to take pictures.  I love the temple and the peace /strength it gives me whenever we go.  I love the promises that are given to strengthen and bind us together as a family as well as the understanding it gives to those who want to learn more and receive personal revelation.  It really is the "Lord's University" of learning.
