And so on it goes !

As a  continuation to last week's post....  the part for David and Jill's car that came in on Monday was incorrect.  Apparently, it was "off" by one number and investigation showed that it was the warehouse that made the mistake so therefore no money was invested BUT the correct part had to be shipped from California and would not arrive for another 5 days. So....we determined to have Kendall take out a fuse or relay switch to turn off the defrost and fan and the kids decided to head out Tuesday morning.  They made it to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and had to stop and find a mechanic because that did not do the "trick"  Apparently, he was very good and kind and they were soon on their way home.  We will talk to them tonight....hoping that it did not cost them an arm and a leg !

Our week consisted of more of the same kind of stuff....Jim has been busy finishing off and placing picnic tables around Nauvoo.  I have been busy painting in the condos and cleaning out the motel and 2 houses that the BYU Study group used for 2 weeks.

This shows the magnitude of the laundry that we took out of the motel ONLY.  This consists of bedding and towels.  We actually had 2 condos and one house to add to that pile.  The conservation sisters take care of doing the laundry and getting it ready while we do the actual cleaning of the units.

I was loading the elevator with the laundry to go up to conservation and looked around the corner !

Sis. Howard and Sis. Odekird were unloading the laundry from our vehicles and bringing it inside to the elevator.  You can see the mountain of laundry in the elevator in the background.  That represents only one of several elevator trips....haha!
This shows myself, Sis. Odekirk & Sis. Howard standing while Sis. Prettyman and Sis. Schmidt are "buried" in the laundry that we have delivered to them.  They are so fun to work with and always have a giggle-ready situation going on!

Last Sunday, the Pitcher family all got together to celebrate Dad's 94th birthday on June 5.  I was able to call and have a little conversation with him that day.  I was lucky because my phone service has been really spotty since the flooding has been going on.....apparently the towers are affected and therefore signals have been very weak.   I find this very frustrating and realize that I depend on my cellphone for alot.  I was grateful that it worked for a few minutes on Dad's birthday and that I was able to express my love for him.   We, both, are so grateful for the example he is to us and the support and love that he gives to our family.
Stacey texted this picture of some of the family with grandpa last Sunday.  This is only part of the Paxman side because others came later.   The Barfuss and Ken Pitcher side were there, as well.  Linda was in hospital as she has had her gall bladder removed.  Wishing her a speedy and complete recovery!

And...of course...I had to include a sunset that occured last week.   With all of the rain, the grass is so green and the sky was so pretty....had to share it with you !

We are getting busloads of guests arriving in Nauvoo on a daily basis and things are cranking up to get the Pagaents going.  We love working with the people here in Nauvoo and are finding that we are making lots of "eternal" friendships here.  We still love our family the MOST !!!  We also love our Saviour and are grateful for the opportunity to serve (in the background) here in Nauvoo.  This is a special place with a wonderful spirit.  Come and see / come and stay just come!!!

Till next week.....
