We stopped in Carthage on our way home today.  I love this place!  The flowers & plants are spectacular AND the spirit is so strong

Each week just get better !

The weeks are just flying by and I can't believe that Sunday has rolled around again.  I am very grateful to go and renew my covenants each week and receive the strength and upliftment from doing so.  This quote was on the front of our ward bulletin and I really like it:

We had a surprise visit from Linda & Stuart Fairbanks (Raymond) on Monday afternoon.  They were on their way home from Boston, Massachusetts (family reunion) and they swung down to Nauvoo.  We spent the later afternoon and evening with them and REALLY enjoyed their visit. We tried to show them as much as possible in a few quick hours! Hope that they got home safe & sound !

My first attempt at a "selfie"....I need a longer arm...haha!

This week, we said goodbye to all of the YPMs (young performing missionaries) and their leaders.  They have worked hard all season and have contributed alot to Nauvoo and the experience that visitors enjoy here.  They put on shows during the day and then do Sunset by the Mississippi EVERY night as well as perform in each of the Pageants each night which translates into a 12 -14 hours work day (each and every day)  We appreciated their energy and testimonies expressed by their music / dancing & especially their actions.  They are exemplary youth !
They sang a song as a farewell to us at our mission training

We will be losing more FM missionaries as well as our service elders over the next couple of weeks.  They have all come to the end of their service, so we held a fun little "Good-Pie" party with everyone bringing a pie to share !  It was really fun & delicious!

Left - Right    E / S Grigsby     E/S Hayhurst   E/S Craner  E/S Warner (that's Root Beer from the Red Brick Store in her hand....haha....she wanted it to look suspicious)  Elder Dallon   Elder Bundy  E/S Corder         FM will be spread pretty thin when they all leave and the rest of us will have to pick up some slack !
E/S Corder with Rick McGregor (friend from the Community of Christ) who comes to prayer meeting and supplies the root beer

Goofing off!
We are feeling the desire to finish our mission by giving our ALL to the Lord!  We know that He only blesses us and that we can never repay Him. But we want Him and you to know that we are willing to do whatever we are asked to, and will count it a blessing !

Have a great week and know that you are loved and thought about on a daily basis !!
